Zimbabwe opening batter Prince Masvaure has been ruled out of the second Test at Queens Sports Club against South Africa due to a respiratory tract infection.

Masvaure had been drafted into the side last week as a concussion replacement for Brian Bennett, who also remains unavailable as he continues to recover.

Dion Myers has now been named as Masvaure’s replacement in the playing XI. Meanwhile, fast bowler Kundai Matigimu will make his Test debut, coming in for Vincent Masekesa in the second and final match of the series.

South Africa lead the series 1-0 after a dominant win in the first Test.

Here’s Zimbabwe’s playing XI for the second Test:

Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Nick Welch, Dion Myers, Sean Williams, Craig Ervine, Wessly Madhevere, Tafadzwa Tsiga, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Tanaka Chivanga, and Kundai Matigimu.

The Chevrons will be looking to bounce back and level the series in front of their home crowd.
