Kenya has officially scrapped visa requirements for most African countries, including Zimbabwe and select Caribbean nations as part of its efforts to boost regional integration.
This means citizens from these countries can now travel to Kenya without needing to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or filling in lengthy forms.
Visitors from across Africa will now be allowed to stay in Kenya for up to two months. Meanwhile, nationals from East African Community (EAC) member states, which include Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and others, will continue to benefit from a six-month stay, in line with EAC free movement agreements.
However, Kenya has maintained restrictions for travellers from Libya and Somalia, citing national security concerns.
The decision is seen as a big step forward in easing travel, promoting trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties across the continent.
