Castle Lager PSL Midweek Round-Up: Ngezi, TelOne and FC Platinum Secure Key Wins

The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League served up a competitive round of midweek fixtures on Wednesday, with Ngezi Platinum Stars, TelOne FC, and FC Platinum all collecting crucial victories.

At Baobab Stadium, Ngezi Platinum edged CAPS United 1-0, courtesy of a first-half goal from McDonald Makuwe. The win strengthens Ngezi’s title push, while CAPS United continue to search for form.

TelOne FC were dominant at Ascot Stadium, seeing off Simba Bhora 2-0. A composed performance from the Gweru side saw them control the match, with Milton Chimedza getting on the scoresheet.

FC Platinum registered a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kwekwe United at Mandava Stadium. Muvirimi opened the scoring before Kwekwe United leveled. However, a late strike from Nickson Nyasulu sealed the win for the hosts.

In other matches, ZPC Kariba and MWOS FC shared points after a 1-1 draw at Nyamhunga Stadium, while Yadah FC and GreenFuel also played to a 1-1 stalemate at Heart Stadium.

Meanwhile, Herentals College FC and Chicken Inn FC played out a goalless draw at Rufaro Stadium, with both sides unable to convert chances in a cagey encounter.

Focus now shifts to Thursday’s fixtures, where Highlanders takes on Triangle, Dynamos faces Manica Diamonds, and Bikita Minerals plays Scotland FC.
