Friday Live Returns to Amakhosi from August to November

Amakhosi Cultural Centre will this Friday bring back Friday Live, a popular weekly music event that is been a favourite on Zimbabwe’s entertainment calendar since 2004.
The live performances will run every Friday from 6pm to 10pm at Amakhosi Cultural Centre in Bulawayo, with headline acts hitting the stage between 7 and 8pm. The season will run from August through to November 2025.
In an interview with SkyzMetro FM, Director of Amakhosi Cultural Centre, Gcina Mhlanga, stated that Friday Live is all about giving artists a platform to connect with fans in a warm, supportive space.
“The shows help musicians build their audiences, receive feedback, and expand their digital reach, all key to growing their music careers”.she said
Gcina added that the August’s lineup will see perfomances from Ramsey Kay with supporting acts of Afro-jazz and rumba. On August 15 it will be Mahlaba and other supporting acts while on August 22, Gogo Bekezela will headline the perfomances and on 28 August, Ndombolo Night will headline the performances, featuring various artists.
“The event is family-friendly, and while adults enjoy Friday Live, children and teens can attend Dreams to Fame every Saturday from 2pm to 5pm, a talent platform for the youth”.she explained
The main performances will be broadcast live on Skyz Metro FM, and streamed on Facebook via the Amakhosi Cultural Centre and Skyz Metro FM pages.
Tickets are priced at $3 for general entry, $5 for VIP, and $10 for VVIP.
