Zimbabwean football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the death of former Warriors striker Tendai Ndoro, who has passed away at the age of 40.

Ndoro, once one of the country’s most prolific forwards, was reportedly found dead at his flat in South Africa. The cause of his death still remain unclear.

The former Chicken Inn goal machine made his name in the Premier Soccer League before moving to South Africa in 2013, where he starred for Black Aces and later Orlando Pirates. His sharp finishing quickly made him a fan favourite.

He also had a brief stint in Saudi Arabia with Al-Faisaly, before returning to South Africa to feature for Ajax Cape Town and Highlands Park.

On the international stage, Ndoro wore the Warriors jersey with pride between 2013 and 2017, and was part of the squad at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Tributes are already pouring in from across the football fraternity, with many remembering Ndoro not only for his goals but for his fighting spirit on the field.

Ndoro had recently been linked with a possible comeback in Eswatini before his untimely passing.
