Zimbabwe Cricket has named a 16-man squad for the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka, which gets underway this Wednesday at Harare Sports Club.
The remaining matches are set for Saturday and Sunday, all starting at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Zimbabwe will welcome back veteran all-rounder Sean Williams, returning to T20 action for the first time since May last year. Also making a comeback is experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor, recalled after a long absence from the shortest format.
Other inclusions are Brad Evans and Tadiwanashe Marumani, who add depth to the squad.
The full squad consists of Captain Sikandar Raza, Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Trevor Gwandu, Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers and Richard Ngarava.
Zimbabwe sees this series as crucial preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, also to be hosted in Harare later this month.
