Zim Welcomes Africa’s Best as T20 World Cup Qualifier Roars to Life

Harare will come alive this weekend as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025 bowls off.

The tournament runs from 26 September to 4 October, with eight teams battling for just two spots at the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

Group A has Namibia, Malawi, Nigeria and Kenya. Group B features hosts Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania and Botswana.

A total of 28 matches will be played at Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club, with two games scheduled at each venue every matchday.

The action begins on Friday morning, with Namibia facing Kenya at Harare Sports Club, and Nigeria taking on Malawi at Takashinga.

In the afternoon, Zimbabwe start their campaign against Uganda at Harare Sports Club, while Tanzania meet Botswana at Takashinga.

Zimbabwe’s other group matches are against Botswana on Sunday, 28 September, and Tanzania on Tuesday, 30 September, both at Harare Sports Club.

The semi-finals are set for Thursday, 2 October, with the grand final on Saturday, 4 October.
