It was another tough day for Tuskers as Southern Rocks’ Roy Kaia tore through their batting lineup on day three of the Logan Cup match at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo yesterday.

Rain and a wet outfield delayed play until late in the afternoon, but when the action finally resumed, Kaia wasted no time. He struck twice in quick succession, sparking a collapse that saw Tuskers lose three wickets for just seven runs, slumping to 43 for six.

Tanatswa Bechani and Ainsley Ndlovu both fought hard with 23 runs apiece, but by stumps, Tuskers were struggling at 109 for eight, leading by only 142. Kaia finished as the main destroyer for the Rocks.

Meanwhile, in Kwekwe, a fine knock of 92 by Nyasha Mayavo put Rhinos firmly in control, building a commanding 355-run lead over Eagles.
