Herentals FC Hit with Heavy Sanctions for Misconduct

The Premier Soccer League has handed Herentals Football Club and two of its officials, Paradzai Afa and Tairos Ngoma, heavy sanctions following violent incidents during their match against CAPS United on 13 September.

The PSL Disciplinary Committee found the club guilty after its security personnel assaulted a fan in the VVIP area and later attacked a police officer.

Herentals has been fined five thousand dollars and will play its next three home matches behind closed doors. The two officials have been banned from taking part in any PSL duties for the next three seasons.

The sanctions take effect from Matchday 32, starting with their home game against Yadah FC on November 1st.

The PSL has reminded all clubs to uphold discipline and ensure the safety of players, fans, and officials at all matches.
