The Warriors return to action tonight as they face Algeria in their first friendly match ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The match will kick-off at 6:30pm at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Saudi Arabia, where the team is currently based for its AFCON preparations.

The game will give the newly appointed coach Marian Marinica a chance to assess his squad’s readiness before the continental showpiece set for Morocco this coming month.

However, the Warriors will be without several key players, including vice captain Marshall Munetsi, Knowledge Musona, and Khama Billiat, who are all ruled out of tonight’s clash.

Their opponents, Algeria, ranked among Africa’s top football sides, promise a tough challenge and a perfect test for Zimbabwe, who are looking to regain confidence after a disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign.

After tonight’s clash, the Warriors will shift focus to another friendly against Qatar on November 17, as they continue fine-tuning their tactics and team chemistry ahead of continental duty.
