The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has thrown its full support behind the Mighty Warriors as they gear up for the Three Nations Tournament in Lilongwe, Malawi, which kicks off tomorrow.

ZIFA General Secretary Yvonne Manwa visited the team on their final day in camp, where she took time to engage with the technical team and players. She said the meeting was meant to boost morale and reinforce the values of the newly launched Women’s Football Strategy.

“The idea is to grow participation at every stage of the football pathway,” said Manwa during her address.

Manwa further stated that the round-robin tournament will see Zimbabwe opening their campaign against hosts Malawi at Bingu National Stadium before wrapping up the competition on December 2 with a match against Zambia.

While Malawi and Zambia are using the tournament to fine-tune their squads ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Zimbabwe’s focus will be on rebuilding confidence after missing out on WAFCON qualification earlier this year.

The Mighty Warriors are aiming to use this opportunity to rebuild team spirit and identify key areas for improvement as they prepare for future continental competitions.
