The Sista to Sista programme, being implemented by the National Aids Council (NAC) and its partners in Bulilima District, Plumtree, continues to empower young women with vital life skills and knowledge.
Since its launch, the initiative has focused on protecting girls from early marriages, abuse and other social challenges.
Programme coordinator Nonhlanhla Ndlovu told SkyzMetro FM that young women should remain vigilant, especially during the festive season.
“Increased social activities during the festive season can expose young women to a lot of risks and they might end up being infected with diseases,” she said.
One of the beneficiaries, Nozipho Dube, praised the programme and encouraged other girls to take part.
“The program is open to all young women across communities. It has improved my awareness of key issues affecting young women,” she said.
The Sista to Sista model uses mentorship, peer support and health education to help young women build safer and more secure futures.
