A Bulawayo-based content creator, Ashley Ganyanhewe, is set to launch a female-led podcast, aimed at amplifying women’s voices and addressing issues affecting them.

Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, Ganyanhewe said while podcasting continues to grow in the city, there are still few platforms led by women, a gap she hopes to help close.

“There are a number of podcast in Bulawayo however they are led by men and I saw a gap and decided to create someone of us as girls,” Ganyanhewe said.

She stated that the podcast will focus on topics such as entrepreneurship, mental health and everyday life experiences, while creating a safe space for open discussion.

Ganyanhewe said that the project reflects a growing shift toward digital platforms as spaces for dialogue and information sharing, particularly among young people in Bulawayo.

”We are in the digital era and so many people share information on social media, so this initiative reflects the growing culture of podcasting,“ she said.

The platform will be open to girls and women of all ages, with no age restrictions.
