Miss Rural Finalist Shines Spotlight On Youth Empowerment

Miss Rural Nomatter Silibele Mpofu, popularly known as Queen Belle, is proudly flying the flag for Insiza District in Matabeleland South, using the platform to challenge stereotypes and advocate for rural youth development.
Speaking in an interview with Skyz Metro FM, Mpofu said she entered the Miss Rural pageant to showcase the strength, talent and potential of rural girls, while raising awareness about the challenges they face.
She says her rural upbringing shaped her values of resilience, ubuntu and leadership, adding that success is not defined by geography.
Queen Belle says the crown is more than a title, as she champions empowerment projects for rural girls, including vegetable irrigation schemes and entrepreneurship initiatives, aimed at building sustainable livelihoods.
