Mjox Says Award Win Fuels Passion Ahead of 10-Year Radio Milestone

Skyz Metro FM presenter Tafara Joga, popularly known as Mjox, says winning the “Babongile Sikhonjwa” Outstanding Radio DJ of the Year award at the 2025 Bulawayo Arts Awards marks a major milestone in his career.

After several nominations in previous years, Mjox said the win is a reminder that persistence and consistency eventually pay off.“Winning this award is a reminder that persistence and consistency eventually pay off,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to his supporters, saying the recognition has renewed his passion for radio. ”The support I have received over the years continues to inspire me to give my best on air and this recognition has renewed my passion for radio,” said Mjox.

Mjox also revealed that 2026 will be special for him, as he celebrates ten years at Skyz Metro FM, where he is one of the founding presenters.

”The year 2026 will be special for me as I celebrate ten years at Skyz Metro FM, where I am one of the founding presenters,” he said.

He said his background in music and performance played a key role in shaping his broadcasting career, from performing with A Street Niggaz to co-founding Mjox loMzala and working with both local and international artists.
