Newly appointed Highlanders head coach Thabo Senong says unity, hard work and improved performance will be the pillars of his tenure at the Bulawayo giants.

Speaking to club’s media after his arrival yesterday, Senong said joining the Bosso family is a proud moment for him, adding that he is eager to meet the players and connect with the club’s passionate supporters. He acknowledged Highlanders’ rich history, saying the role comes with great responsibility.

Senong further stated that protecting the club’s brand will be central to his work, with discipline and consistency forming the foundation of daily training. He has already begun consultations with club leadership and the technical team to strengthen performance.

He also highlighted his working relationship with chief executive officer Denzil Mnkandla, saying ongoing consultations within the club have helped shape the direction he intends to take.
