Suspected Serial Killer Anymore Zvitsva Remanded in Custody to February 3

Anymore Zvitsva, the 33-year-old man accused of carrying out multiple killings in Guruve, has been further remanded in custody until February 3, 2026.

He is now facing five additional charges two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Zvitsva has been linked to the deaths of 18 people. During his initial court appearance on January 5, he faced eight murder charges, two attempted murder charges, and two counts of rape.

On Monday, he arrived at the Harare Magistrates’ Court in leg irons and was assisted by another inmate due to a leg injury reportedly sustained when security officers shot him as he attempted to escape arrest on January 3.

The allegations against him have caused widespread fear in the Guruve community, prompting intensified efforts by authorities to bring him to justice.

He has been advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
