Zimbabwe Cricket T20 captain Sikandar Raza is back at number one in the ICC Men’s T20 All-Rounder Rankings, a boost for the Chevrons as they push for a strong T20 World Cup campaign.
Raza regained the top spot after leading Zimbabwe to an eight-wicket win over Oman in their tournament opener in Colombo on Monday. He delivered a tight spell of one for 17 in four overs and later struck the winning runs to seal victory.
The latest ICC update shows Raza moving ahead of Pakistan’s Saim Ayub, who had briefly occupied the number one position.
There were also gains for other Zimbabwean players. Brian Bennett climbed to a career-high 19th in the batting rankings following his unbeaten 48 against Oman.
On the bowling charts, Brad Evans jumped 16 places to joint 15th, Richard Ngarava rose 13 spots to 48th, while Blessing Muzarabani moved up 23 places to 73rd after returning from injury. Raza also improved five places to 25th among bowlers.
