Matebeleland Sevens Rugby Players Selected for Cheetah’s Training Team

Seven players from Matebeleland have been selected to be part of the 24 man training squad for Zimbabwe sevens Rugby team.

Matebeleland sevens captain Adrea Banda  who is part of the seven players selected,  said it was an honor to be part of the training squad as it was half way through to represent Zimbabwe.

Players were selected during a trial session held in Harare last weekend.

Another player part of the 24 men squad Kudakwashe Nyakufaringwa prop for provincial team , said it was a big boost for Matebeleland as future generations will benefit from the large numbers in the team.

Other players from the region who qualified for the training sessions include Nelson Madida,Mkululi Ndhlela, Emmanuel Zangari, Tarisai Mugariri, and Cletos Sunduza.  Players will commence their Camp on the second of February in Harare
