The business community has expressed its excitement over the upcoming Intra-Africa Trade Fair set to take place in Rwanda in December this year .
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM news reporter Nomalanga Makwelo , ZimTrade Communications Manager Danai Majaha , said that they were looking forward to the exhibition event as it would allow Zimbabwean Companies a chance to network and connect with International buyers from across the continent.
“We are excited that the Intra-African Trade trade fair is a good initiative which will increase exposure of companies and increase the African market.”
According to Majaha , Zimtrade has already facilitated the participation of more than 25 local companies for the event, after going through a development programme which proved they were ready for the exhibition.The African exhibition programme which is a yearly event done under the African Union and the Afreximbank was postponed to the December in order to give African countries a chance to prepare as well as to allow countries to roll out their vaccination programmes before the event.
In 2021, IATF’s theme will focus on the newly-launched African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) a single market for goods and services across 55 countries, aimed at boosting trade and investment.
