9 Including School Pupils Injured In Road Accident In Bulawayo

Nine people were injured in an accident that occurred between Matopos road and Dundee drive in Hillside early yesterday morning. Of the nine seven were pupils from Moray Primary School.

Bulawayo Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the development saying a pirate kombi driven by a 37 year old man which was ferrying the pupils collided with a BMW driven by a 47 year old lady from Mpopoma.

“On the 21st day of April 2021 at around 0710 hours a report was received that a road traffic accident involving a Public Service Vehicle and private motor vehicle just occurred at intersection Matopos road and Dande drive hillside, Bulawayo where nine people were injured.”

Inspector Ncube, said the two cars which were going in different directions collided at a robot controlled intersection .

The kombi driver , woman and the injured pupils were taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) where they were treated and discharged
