Versatile singer and song writer Mubanga Tarukwana better known as Mimmie has finally released her brand new E.P titled “They Love Mimmie” .
Released today “They Love Mimmie” comprises of 4 tracks in the Amapiano, AfroSoul, Jazz and Kwaito genres.
According to Mimmie the E.P , incorporates all genres in order to appeal to all generations young and old.
After releasing the single Bambela a few days ago which received a huge response from the audience, the new project has attracted a lot of attention and is trending on micro blogger Twitter.
” They Love Mimmie is basically an insight of who Mimmie is . Its about good vibes ,its about women empowerment and all things that i am passionate about. I would love for everyone out there to go and get the E.P and be inspired by any of the songs.”
Miss Tarukwana has over the years worked with various artists locally and abroad. These include Khaya Mthethwa, Judith Sephuma, Hlengiwe Ntombela, HillSong South Africa, the late Oliver Mtukudzi and many more.
She says the exposure over the years has given her enough confidence and experience to work on her own project.
She also added that she has experienced unsafe spaces and unpleasant interactions on her journey as a female artist but all that has made her stronger and tougher in the industry and she is not giving up on her dream.
