PENCIL ARTISTS TAKE BULAWAYO BY STORM

Reaching out to those with artistic wisdom is what young Ngqabutho Khumalo was hoping to achieve when he took his time to create the now social media famous portrait of Intwasa Director , Raisdon Baya.

Speaking to Skyz Metro FM News the Gwanda based lad who recently completed his ordinary level studies said drawing is his passion and wants to expand his horizons learning at the feet of experts.

He also said he hopes to get the opportunity to draw more than just faces in the near future.

Meanwhile Raisedon Baya who posted the portrait of himself drawn by Khumalo said he sees great potential in him and hopes to bring his art into the light in Bulawayo circles.

Baya posted the drawing on his Twitter page with many characterizing it as a black and white mirror image of  Baya.

Redefining the statement Talented though disabled, Young artist and crafts man, Sipho Ncube says he refuses to be defined by his lack of ability.

The young man who sells some of his products along the City Hall pavement has grasped the attention of pedestrians who have expressed their awe at some of his work.

Speaking to Skyz Metro FM News, the Mzilikazi Arts and Crafts student said he has seen how his colleagues have felt unworthy due to their disability and he is against the notion that he should be pitied and regarded as unable.

Sipho’s future plans.

He also said one day he hopes to motivate and teach other people living with disabilities how to do arts and crafts while also teaching them how to be confident and comfortable in their own skins.

Ncube is a pencil artist and also does beaded work.
