Former Dynamos Striker dead at 41

The football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the death of former Dynamos and Gunners striker Norman Maroto. He was 41.
Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) confirmed Maroto’s untimely passing in a statement this morning.
A product of the Dynamos juniors who broke through the ranks in 2001, Maroto won several trophies with the Glamour Boys before leading Gunners to Premier league glory in 2009.
Maroto also played for former champions FC Platinum and the now defunct Gunners before hanging his boots.
Maroto, was the last player to reach the 20-goal mark in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League and was the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) Communications Officer at the time of his death.
