Zimbabwe have been eliminated from 2024 COSAFA Cup after they fell to a 2nil defeat to Kenya in a group B game that was played earlier today.

Warriors dropped to third in Group B on goal difference after winning the same number of matches as Comoros and Kenya on their return to the tournament.

Jairos Tapera’s side won 1-0 and 2-0 against Comoros and Zambia, respectively, in the opening games, and the team needed at least a draw to win the group and progress to the semifinals

Kenya opened the scoring in the game on the 54th minute through Austin Odhiambo before Benson Omalla sealed the game in the 72nd minute for the Harambee Stars.

Meanwhile in other game that was played today in group B saw Comoros settling for a narrow one nil victory over already eliminated Zambia, to secure a place in the COSAFA cup semi finals with a better goal difference ahead of Warriors.
