European Film Festival Announces Short Film Finalists

The European Film Festival Zimbabwe has unveiled the finalists for its Bioskop Film competition.
The competition, themed “Beyond Boundaries: Empowering Women through Film and Staying Connected,” seeks to celebrate the creativity and talent of Zimbabwean female filmmakers.
The shortlisted filmmakers will compete in categories such as best narrative, best documentary, best cinematography, best sound, best diaspora narrative, and best actor/actress.
The winners will be announced on October 12th at the Mbare Art Space in Harare.
The European Film Festival, established in 2016 by the European Union delegation to Zimbabwe and its member states, provides a platform for African cinemas to showcase their unique storytelling.
The festival will run from 11 to 20 October with main events in Harare, Bulawayo, and pop-up screenings in Gweru and Kadoma.
The Bulawayo Screening will run from 18- 20 October at Sterkinekor, Bulawayo.
