BCC to Conduct Household Surveys for Local Development Plan

The Bulawayo City Council (BCC) will be conducting door-to-door household surveys from June 24 to July 1, 2025, targeting several suburbs as part of Local Development Plan No. 21, which focuses on the Northern-Central Areas of the city.
The suburbs to be covered include:
• Northend Sunnyside
• Paddonhurst
• Sauerstown
• Rowena
• Queenspark East
• Queenspark West
• Highmount
• Tegela
The exercise is aimed at gathering essential data to develop a comprehensive database that will guide the formulation of Local Development Plans in accordance with Section 17 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act [Chapter 29:12] of 1996.
The collected information is expected to contribute to well-coordinated and sustainable urban development within the study area. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with survey teams during the specified period to ensure their needs and priorities are captured in the planning process.
