Zimbabwean Food and Travel Blogger Aims to Showcase the Country’s Culture and Cuisine

Zimbabwean food and travel blogger Marvelous Nyongoro, popularly known as The African Finder, says he wants Zimbabwe’s rich food and culture to be portrayed positively to the world.“I want Zimbabwe and Africa’s food as a whole to be portrayed positively to the world,” he said.
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, Nyongoro said that he focuses on food and travel content because online representations of Zimbabwe and Africa often emphasize poverty, overlooking the continent’s vibrant culture and unique cuisine.
“I saw that online representations of Zimbabwe and Africa often overlook its beautiful and vibrant culture and focuses on poverty,” Nyongoro said.
Over the years, Nyongoro has developed a reputation for regional travel content, including a Cape to Cairo series in 2023 that covered multiple countries along the route.
He highlighted that the consistency and dedication he poured into his niche led to him being named the Visit South Africa brand ambassador last year, an achievement he says opens doors for both himself and fellow Zimbabwean content creators.”
