President Mnangagwa Reassigns Three Ministers in Cabinet Reshuffle

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has announced a cabinet reshuffle that sees three senior government officials reassigned to new ministerial portfolios with immediate effect.
The changes were confirmed in a press statement issued on 11 February 2026 by the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr. Martin Rushwaya. The reshuffle was carried out in terms of Section 104, Subsection (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, which empowers the President to appoint and assign ministers.
In the new appointments, Honourable Dr Jenfan Muswere has been moved to head the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development, which focuses on assessing and developing the country’s human capital.
Professor Paul Mavima takes over the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities, overseeing housing delivery and related infrastructure.
Dr Zhemu Soda has been appointed Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, responsible for government communication and media policy.
The reshuffle takes effect immediately, signaling adjustments within government aimed at strengthening service delivery and aligning ministerial leadership with national priorities.
