Bulawayo Café Gutted in Early Morning Fire

An early morning fire today destroyed the popular Fairy Café in Bulawayo, leaving staff without a workplace and prompting a police investigation into the cause.
The blaze reportedly broke out between 3 and 4AM on Wednesday, reducing the well-known eatery to ashes. Images from the scene showed extensive damage, with the interior completely burnt out and exterior walls blackened by smoke.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police says it has opened an investigation and officers are examining the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, the Bulawayo firebrigade is also still to provide further details on the incident.
