Highlanders Football Club has entered into a significant health partnership with Corporate 24 Medical Aid in a move aimed at strengthening player welfare and reinforcing professional standards at the club.
The partnership was announced by Highlanders Football Club Chief Executive Officer Denzil Mnkandla, who described the agreement as a major step in aligning sport and healthcare for the benefit of athletes and the broader football community.
Speaking at the recently held event CEO Denzil Mnkanda said
members of Highlanders’ first team, technical staff and support personnel will receive comprehensive medical cover valued at US$13,000 per person annually, translating to a total sponsorship of approximately US$676,000 each year.
He added that the medical package provides access to emergency care, hospitalisation, ambulance evacuation services, pathology and radiology services, dental cover, prescribed medication and an extensive national healthcare network.
Mnkandla said beyond the financial value, the collaboration is expected to expand into broader wellness initiatives, mental health programmes, community outreach and supporter engagement activities, positioning the partnership as a long-term model for athlete welfare and institutional growth within Zimbabwean football.
