Zimbabwe A Squad Named For Bangladesh Tour

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has named Zimbabwe ‘A’ squads for next month’s tour of Bangladesh, selecting a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talent for the assignment.

The tour features three one-day matches and two four-day fixtures against Bangladesh ‘A’, beginning on 8 June in Bogura.

Ryan Burl, Innocent Kaia, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani and Vincent Masekesa headline the one-day squad, while Johnathan Campbell, Dion Myers, Munashe Chimusoro and Tanunurwa Makoni join the side for the four-day matches.

The squad also consists of Faraz Akram, Matthew Campbell, Michael Frost, Trevor Gwandu, Roy Kaia, Tinotenda Maposa, Ernest Masuku, Tarisai Musakanda and Antum Naqvi.

The opening two one-day matches will be played on 8 and 10 June at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, with the final match scheduled for 13 June in Rajshahi.

The four-day series will then move to Sylhet, where matches are set for 17-20 June and 24-27 June.

According to ZC, the tour is expected to provide valuable exposure for Zimbabwe’s developing players in challenging subcontinental conditions.
