Bulawayo Police Seek Man Over Rental Vehicle Theft

Bulawayo police are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Brian Bhuru of Budiriro, Harare, who is wanted over the alleged theft of a rented motor vehicle.

Speaking to SkyzMetro FM Bulawayo police Deputy Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thandekile Ndlovu said Bhuru hired a silver Nissan sedan from a car rental company in Bulawayo on 13 January 2026, but allegedly failed to return it on the agreed date.

Efforts to locate him were unsuccessful, while the vehicle was later recovered in Harare after it was allegedly sold.

“Brian Bhuru hired a vehicle from a car rental company here in Bulawayo. When he was supposed to return it, the company tried to locate him but could not find him. He allegedly sold the vehicle in Harare, where it was later recovered, but he has not yet been located,” said Assistant Inspector Ndlovu.
