Tsholotsho villagers in the resettlement area of Tshino and Sawudweni are in dire need of food aid for schools and health facilities among other needs.

A local village head in Tshino Mr Ndwangu, says the area is not conducive for farming activities as the soils is infertile. He added that people are now resorting to wage labour to get by.

The village head added that poverty has exacerbated crime in the area as there are no income generating projects.

Mr Ndwangu further highlighted that the closest school in the area is Tshino Primary School which is at least 10km away from the area. He added that the local clinic has no enough resources hence they are forced to travel about 40km to Sipepa clinic which is in better condition.

The villagers commended the government for providing them with shelter but are appealing for more help to alleviate their situation by providing food for schools and clinics. They are also appealing for income generation projects to earn a living.
