Former Highlanders Football Club Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ronald Moyo, has joined FairTalk Communications as the General Manager with immediate effect.
Moyo brings a wealth of media and leadership experience to the table, having earned a Media and Society Studies degree from Midlands State University and a Master’s in Journalism and Media Studied from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
In an exclusive interview with Skyz Metro FM’s Senior Reporter Charity Chikara, Moyo expressed enthusiasm about his thrilling new “challenge” stating that he is excited to join the company at its pivotal time of growth.
“I’ve got a very strong media background having studied Media and Society Studies at Midlands State University…I then moved to NUST for my Masters in Journalism and Media Studies where fortunately I became the best student. So I have always been passionate about football administration that’s why I persued my dream. I went to Highlanders football club,” he said.
While football administration has always been a passion for Moyo, his career path took him through the ranks at Highlanders.
Having joined the team in 2018, he rose to the helm of power, where he led the football giant through its recorded successes.
Now, at FairTalk, Moyo said he sees a vision that aligns with his own and aims to propel the company’s brand to new heights.
Mr Moyo added, “In my orientation in management, my belief is that the strategy and vision of the company takes precedence over the strategy of an individual, so I think FairTalk Communications and myself are no exception In as much as I do have my own vision and strategy, that will be informed by the direction that the company wants to take and obviously I know that the reason why I was identified as a suitable candidate is because probably my vision is compatible with that of the organization.
“ Basically, what we want to try and do as FairTalk Communications is to grow the brand FairTalk Communications and its sub brands and, in this case, Skyz Metro FM and Breeze FM.”
He said he anticipated a smooth transition into his new role as he works with the talented team from Fairtalk Communication’s subsidiaries Skyz Metro FM and Breeze FM.
In an interview, Skyz Metro FM Station Manager, Mr. Possenti Sikosana, congratulated Mr. Moyo on his new appointment. He expressed his team’s excitement to be working under a leader of such a calibre.
“We are super excited to have Mr Moyo taking on the reins of a General Manager at Skyz Metro FM and I believe that the experience that he received at Highlanders and the experience that he has received from other positions that he has held will be very valuable for FairTalk Communications.
“We are looking forward to a new direction and new vision that he is going to come and instill within the institution and help us to take ourselves to greater heights,” said Mr Sikosana.
