Nkayi-based musician Sikhosana Buhlungu has turned to music to appeal for help from businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo, asking for a vehicle to transport his instruments.

In a short video shared on Facebook, the veteran performer, known for cycling to gigs around Nkayi Centre, expresses admiration for Chivayo’s generosity and asks for a car to ease his travels. Singing from a bus, he says:

“Respected Chivayo, I greet you this morning. I hope you are doing well and continuing the good work you have done for so many. On behalf of Sikhosana Band, I love you dearly and admire your work.”

He added, “It is my wish to drive and carry my music equipment. Can I praise you once more? Can I have a car to carry my guitar, life yangu ireruke.”

The video ends with a note of gratitude: “Sir, I thank you. I am Sikhosana Band, tamba mhashu. As Sikhosana, I am very humble. Ndokutendai.”

The plea has sparked widespread support online, with fans praising Sikhosana’s respectful and humble approach. Many are calling on Chivayo to assist the elderly artist, whose dedication to his craft has inspired many.

Chivayo has recently gained attention for donating vehicles to artists and ordinary Zimbabweans, acts he once linked to a prophecy made in Nkayi in the 1990s.
