Zimbabwe Cricket has announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, the newly crowned ICC World Test Champions.

The series is set to bowl off next week at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, with the first Test running from the 28th of June to the 2nd of July, followed by the second from the 6th to the 10th of July.

Craig Ervine will captain the Zimbabwe side, as the Chevrons look to carry forward the momentum from their recent tour of England, where they played a historic one-off Test at Trent Bridge.

Unfortunately, Richard Ngarava has been ruled out due to a lower back injury, and Ben Curran is sidelined with a fractured finger.

The Test squad will consist of Craig Ervine who is the Captain, Brian Bennett, Tanaka Chivanga, Trevor Gwandu, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Wessly Madhevere, Clive Madande, Vincent Masekesa, Wellington Masakadza, Prince Masvaure, Kundai Matigimu, Blessing Muzarabani, Newman Nyamhuri, Tafadzwa Tsiga, Nicholas Welch, and Sean Williams.
