Highlanders Football Club has confirmed that acting Chief Executive Officer Kindman Ndlovu will remain in his post, following what the club describes as “successful engagement” between the executive and the technical and development official.

Ndlovu had recently submitted his resignation, which unexpectedly leaked to the public and stirred debate within the local football community. However, in a press statement issued Monday, the club announced a reversal of that decision.

“After successful engagement, the executive member technical and development Kindman Ndlovu remains the acting CEO until such time a substantive CEO is engaged,” read the statement issued by the Highlanders Executive Committee.

The club also confirmed that Ndlovu had retracted his resignation and apologised for the confusion caused by the public leak.

“Mr Ndlovu duly retracts his resignation letter and apologises to the executive member finance, Nkani Khoza, and the club at large for any inconvenience the resignation letter caused after its unfortunate leak to the public,” the statement said.

Highlanders leadership emphasised its continued commitment to professionalism, unity, and the values that underpin the club’s legacy.

“The club leadership upholds the spirit of peace and tranquility as well as respect for one another and the Highlanders brand.”

The announcement brings to an end a short period of uncertainty, and for now, the Bosso faithful can breathe easy knowing leadership remains intact.
