Brian Banda to Be Laid to Rest Tomorrow

FC Platinum and former Highlanders midfielder Brian Jasper Banda will be laid to rest tomorrow at West Park Cemetery in Bulawayo.

Banda tragically passed away on Sunday following a car accident along the Masvingo–Bulawayo Road. The crash claimed two other lives at the scene.

A memorial service in honour of the 29-year-old will be held at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre starting at 8am, before his body is taken to his final resting place.

Banda was known for his skillful play in midfield, having risen through the ranks at Highlanders before making the move to FC Platinum, where he continued to shine in the Premier Soccer League.

Tributes have poured in from fans, fellow players, and football authorities who described Banda as a dedicated and humble professional whose impact went beyond the pitch.
