Bulawayo will host its first ever Women Investment Conference from 3 to 5 September 2025 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds.
Announced by the Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Judith Ncube, the three-day event aims to empower women in business through knowledge sharing, networking, and investment skills development.
Speaking during a press conference at Mhlahlandlela, Minister Ncube highlighted that the conference was inspired by international engagements, particularly lessons learned from Egypt’s urban renewal and women’s business initiatives.
“I will quote the Egyptian programme that we have been attending for the past 3 years or so, we benefitted a lot,one from the tourism aspect and also the housing renewal project,” she said.
The event is being organised in collaboration with the City of Bulawayo, and will be headlined by the First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa as the guest of Honour. It will feature sessions on financial literacy, market trends, and investment strategies, with leading female entrepreneurs and investors in attendance.
“The conference will save as a pivotal platform for promoting economic independence and leadership among women in Bulawayo and beyond,” said the minister.
The conference seeks to equip women with the tools to succeed economically and contribute meaningfully to Zimbabwe’s development and the attainment of a middle income class economy.
