The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced that four Zimbabwean referees have been appointed by FIFA to handle a crucial World Cup 2026 Qualifier.
The officials will take charge of the match between South Sudan and DR Congo, will be played on the 5th of September at the National Stadium in Juba.
Brighton Chimene will take charge as the referee, assisted by Luckson Mhara and Edgar Rumeck, while Lawrence Zimondi will serve as the fourth official.
ZIFA says this is a proud moment for the country, as it shows the confidence FIFA continues to place in Zimbabwean officials.
The association congratulated the referees and wished them success as they represent the nation on the global stage.
