Ngwenya on Target in AmaZulu Draw

Zimbabwe Warriors striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya opened his scoring account in South Africa’s Betway Premiership yesterday, but his side AmaZulu were held to a 1-all draw away to Stellenbosch.
Ngwenya, who joined AmaZulu from FC Platinum in June, struck in the 17th minute, tapping home after a neat assist from Andiswa Sithole. He had earlier missed a clear chance when through on goal, but quickly made amends with the opener.
The Warriors forward almost doubled his tally late in the second half, only to see his effort crash against the crossbar.
Stellenbosch punished AmaZulu’s missed chances, leveling through Maarman in the 84th minute to snatch a point.
Ngwenya’s strong performance, however, will give Warrors fans plenty to smile about as he finds his feet in the South African top flight.
