Zimbabwe Warriors head coach Michael Nees has named his squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda, set to kick off next week.

The squad announcement comes with a few key absentees. Experienced forward Khama Billiat and young goalkeeper Marley Tavaziva have both been ruled out through injury, while Andy Rinomhota misses out as he finalises a move to a new club.

In goal, Zimbabwe will rely on three experienced shot-stoppers, Washington Arubi, Elvis Chipezeze and Martin Mapisa.

The defence will be led by Gerald Takwara Munashe Garananga and Teenage Hadebe. They will be joined by Brandon Galloway, Godknows Murwira, Emmanuel Jalai, Jordan Zemura, and Divine Lunga.

Midfield options include Wolves’ Marshall Munetsi, Marvelous Nakamba of Luton Town, and Jonah Fabisch from German side Erzgebirg Aue. They are joined by Sheffield Wednesday’s Sean Fusire, Prosper Paderia from SJK in Finland, Wolves youngster Tawanda Chirewa, and veteran Knowledge Musona.

Up front, the Warriors attack features Terrence Dzukamanja, Bill Antonio of KV Mechelen, and Tawanda Maswanhise of FC Motherwell. Walter Musona adds depth, alongside Tino Kadewere and Thando Ngwenya.
