ZITF Hosts Green Business Expo to Drive Climate Action and Smart City Vision

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company, in collaboration with Climatepreneur and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, yesterday held the Zimbabwe Climate Change Sustainability Week and Green Business Expo at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo.
Speaking to Skyz Metro, ZITF Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Thandolwenkosi Nkomo said the expo provides a platform to spotlight pressing climate-related issues including sustainability, carbon markets, and the green economy.
“The purpose of this platform is to highlight conversations around climate change, sustainability and the green economy”, he said .
He stated that the initiative also aims to foster greater awareness and stimulate policy discussions that support Zimbabwe’s transition to a climate-resilient economy.
“We are creating awareness on the importance of issues surrounding sustainability, climate change and how this things can be integrated in the mainstream economy”, stated Nkomo.
Nkomo added that the ZITF Company is committed to transforming its showgrounds into a smart city, aligning with broader national goals for sustainable development.
The expo is part of ZITF’s efforts to contribute meaningfully to the country’s green economy agenda.
