Highlanders FC could face Division One football during their 100th anniversary next year after a 0-0 draw against Herentals College at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

Highlanders Coach Pieter De Jongh hailed his team’s effort saying the point was vital as Bosso fights to stay clear of relegation.

Speaking after the match, De Jongh praised his players for their performance and vowed to push for the necessary wins in the remaining four league games.

“We played good football and secured an important point,” De Jongh said after the match. “Now we need to focus and get the wins we need to stay in the top flight and I think 4 points will be enough for our survival.”

With just a slim two-point cushion above the relegation zone, Highlanders must win at least 2 of the last remaining 4 games to avoid the drop and safeguard their historic milestone.
