Bulawayo-based content creator, singer and poet Vanessa Jongwe, popularly known as Naughty Snowy, has called on young people to take charge of their futures by planning ahead and resisting the temptation to procrastinate.
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, Snowy said her latest song, 25 Zika Matewu, carries a strong message about the dangers of delaying important life decisions, a habit she says is increasingly affecting young people.
“The song is a message to young people that time waits for no one. If you keep postponing your plans and goals, you risk missing out on opportunities that could change your life,” she said.
Snowy noted that procrastination has become a common challenge among the youth, often resulting in missed opportunities and unrealised potential.
“You have to be organised and ready at all times. Opportunities come when you least expect them, and if you are not prepared, they pass you by,” she added.
She encouraged young people in Bulawayo and beyond to remain focused, disciplined and intentional about their goals, emphasising that success does not come by chance but through consistency and commitment.
Through her music and broader creative work, Snowy said she is determined to inspire a culture of ambition, responsibility and forward thinking among young people.
“I want my music to motivate the youth to believe in themselves, work hard and plan for the future they want to see,” she said.
