Vice President Constantino Chiwenga says Zimbabwe is prepared to work with the international community to advance sustainable housing systems and respond to growing urbanisation challenges.

Speaking during Zimbabwe’s participation at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum 13 in Baku, VP Chiwenga said cooperation with global partners remains important in developing modern housing solutions that can meet the demands of rapid urban growth.

The Vice President said Zimbabwe is committed to improving housing delivery and urban planning through partnerships and knowledge-sharing with other countries and international organisations.

The forum, convened by UN-Habitat, brings together governments, urban planners, development experts, and civil society groups to discuss sustainable urban development and housing policies.

Zimbabwe’s participation at the forum reflects efforts to align the country’s housing and urban development strategies with international best practices.
