The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has handed down heavy sanctions following the abandoned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC played at Chahwanda Stadium on 24 May.

Both clubs were found guilty of causing the abandonment of the match through pitch invasion, acts of violence, improper conduct and disrupting the normal proceedings of the game.

Dynamos FC was also found guilty of maliciously damaging the stadium’s perimeter fence, while Hardrock FC was found liable for failing to provide adequate security as the home club.

The PSL fined both clubs US$10,000. Hardrock FC will pay US$8,000 immediately, with US$2,000 suspended for the remainder of the season provided the club commits no similar offence.

The club must also play one home match behind closed doors and submit a revised match security management plan within 30 days.

Dynamos FC was fined the full US$10,000 and ordered to submit a formal crowd management and stewarding plan within 30 days. The club must also provide written reports after each away match for the rest of the season detailing measures taken to manage its travelling supporters.

The PSL also ruled that the remaining minutes of the abandoned Matchday 14 fixture will be completed behind closed doors at a neutral venue under league protocols.

Meanwhile, Hardrock FC Chief Executive Officer Kudzanai Hove was found guilty of disorderly conduct, pitch invasion and violent behaviour. He has been suspended from all football-related activities for the remainder of the 2026 season and fined US$5,000.
