Asidle Experience is creating a space for men to openly discuss the pressures of modern manhood, with its inaugural i-DALE: Vent It Out gathering set for Bulawayo next month.
The event, founded by Nomanjabulo Mantula, will take place at Hillside Dams on 7 November, bringing men together for conversations on family responsibilities, work, personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
Speaking to SkyzMetro FM, Mantula said the initiative aims to encourage honest discussions without fear of judgement.
“When we trigger these conversations, it becomes much easier for people to open up,” Mantula explained. Even if someone chooses not to speak, hearing others can make a real difference. I can’t change the world on my own, but I can spark the conversation and get things moving,” said Mantula.
The gathering will combine panel discussions with a traditional braai, outdoor activities and live entertainment.
Organisers say the event is the first phase of a wider community initiative, with plans already in motion to create similar platforms for women and young people before bringing different groups together.
