The Umguza Rural District Council (RDC) has praised Rader Properties, a local land developer, for issuing the first batch of title deeds to its clients at Kings City, citing that this move assures buyers of ownership and transparency in the land development process.

During the handover ceremony, Mr. Cosmas Nkomo, representing the Umguza RDC Chief Executive Officer, urged potential land buyers to be cautious and only purchase land from reputable developers like Radar Properties. He commended their commitment to issuing title deeds, highlighting the project’s potential to rival “world standards.”

We are thrilled to be part of this development with Radar Properties. They’ve earned our respect for reaching a stage where they can issue title deeds,” said Mr. Nkomo. “This is a great initiative, and we hope to see Kings City develop into a world-class community.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Walter Zimunya, Director of Radar Properties, emphasized Kings City’s status as a premium low-density residential development near Bulawayo’s city center. He highlighted the title deed issuance as aligning with the national goal of distributing over one million title deeds in 2024.

“By participating in the President’s initiative, Radar Properties aims to inspire others and contribute to empowering citizens through property ownership.

These initial title deeds represent a commitment to transparency, legality, and long-term development for all 10,000 Kings City stands,” said Mr Zimunya.

An anonymous landowner expressed his delight at receiving a title deed, emphasizing the importance of choosing reputable developers.

“I have been duped before by untrustworthy land deals before, so this is a step in the right direction for me. Today, I can confidently say I own a piece of land, a legacy for my family. We appreciate Radar Properties’ vision and the trust they’ve instilled in us.”

Kings City’s 10,000 stands include an exclusive gated community, offering residents a variety of options within the development.

This development underscores the growing importance of transparency and legal security in Zimbabwe’s land market.
